We're allowed to wear jeans on Fridays and I saw it as a great opportunity to rock my new silver booties!  I had Karl capture this shot as I left for the day.  I mentioned in this post how I didn't really like this LOFT sweater; I washed it according to laundry instructions and it shrunk.  Second time I washed on gentle, stretched back into shape and line dried and it's wearable again, though it did get a bit fuzzy and faded.  I figured with grey jeans and then a pair of really shiny shoes the faded look would appear purposeful and not that I bought a cheap sweater.

On a more positive shopping note, these jeans are pretty fab.  As someone with wide calves and a round booty, skinny jeans are usually a no-go for me (or something that is best treated as leggings). These are the Real Straights but with stretch, and I like how they give the effect of skinny jeans on me without being painted on.  FYI, these do stretch out.  If you're unsure, especially if you don't have thick legs like me, size down. I wore these two times without washing and while they don't look saggy, I do have to hike them up after sitting.

  1. First thing I thought was how pretty you and that sweater look together!

I’m going to pay more attention though so I can wear my silver booties 🙂

  2. Your hair and makeup are fabulous! And, though they’re not for me (someone who doesn’t like anything sparkly except my jewelry) those booties are so cute! Still crushing on that adorable haircut of yours!

  3. Your haircut is so cute on you! I know you mentioned it’s shorter than you had in mind but it suits you very well!
