Friday through Monday
Happy Presidents Day everyone! My company doesn't have the day off, but I took it off because I had a lot of errands I needed to accomplish before 6pm. So I will be busy today!
Friday I finally got back into the office.

Today I didn’t go to yoga – I really had a lot of errands to do and instead I gave the dog some TLC with a nice walk through the woods. Ran all around town wearing my burgundy merino shift from Banana Republic, black thermal long-sleeved tee from Old Navy and tan Bern boots from…
A request from my friend Karin, who is petite, slim but with some lovely feminine curves. I haven’t had any luck with jeans lately, and was wondering if you fabulous women may have some suggestions: If anyone has recommendations for (not skinny!) jeans that aren’t reminiscent of a plumber but at the same time are…
Jacket: Two by Vince Camuto | Scarf: c/o Nepali by TDM Designs | Tee: Armor lux (gift from reader, similar) | Jeans: NYDJ | Boots: DUO (similar) I rarely look to celebrities for everyday style, but I think Gwen Stefani has pretty awesome day-to-day fashion, and fashion I think many women can replicate. She masters…
Last night my stomach was on fire from the waistband of my pants. Today I decided I need to do something major. Maybe it was my bathroom. I have been working on redoing my bathroom, but haven’t accomplished much. Several years I decoupaged the walls with pages of playbills from the 60’s and 70’s that…
Tank: Ann Taylor (similar) | Cardigan: Ann Taylor (similar) | Skirt: Banana Republic | Shoes: Vince Camuto | Necklace: c/o Kristin Biggs, Stella and Dot (similar) This is what I wore to Easter. Not much of a pastels gal, but I do love an orangey red. This is one of my very favorite colors. Years…
Friday night we went to dinner with very good friends of ours. Had a wait for our table, so we went next door to the cigar shop; the boys got some cigars to puff (it was nice enough to be outside) and the wife and I chatted about the upcoming wedding of her sister-in-law (you…
Love the sweater. Your hair looks great too! You have me thinking of ordering a pair of duo boots.
Alli, you are always too cute!
I have a present for you on my blog!
Looking good, Allie! Love this outfit.
Thanks, Allie. Tried them out on the snow and ice here and took them to the cobbler’s for treaded soles. Now they are perfect for winter weather!
This is great look! You look great rocking the boots over jeans look!
love the browns and pretty gold jewelry here.
Nope they don’t have the best tread on them, but I waterproofed them and they have a better sole than most of my other shoes (and I think equal to sneakers) so they have become my winter go-to boots.
Hope you are enjoying your day off, Allie. How did your duo boots do in the snow? I ask as I just got a pair of Bern in black and am a bit hesitant to walk on the snow and ice in them since they don’t have a deep profile on the soles.
Thanks for any tips!
LOVE that sweater on you!! And you are rocking those jeans. Glad to see you have been surviving the DC snow.
Oh dear! I wear my yoga pants and ribbed tanks and cardigans out to do errands. I do I do. Bad girl.
I love your blog and seeing your outfits.
