Gwynnie Bee invited me to style one look three ways with the B Curvy by Bobeau “Kate” Chambray dress as part of me being their June Featured Influencer. This dress is light and breezy, perfect for summer, and a silhouette that can dress up and down with ease. For reference, I am wearing the dress in 1X (I usually wear 14 or 14W) and I am 5'3″. The dress has a self belt and just thread loops for it so it's easy to remove and wear without or switch out for your own belt or scarf. There is a snap at the neckline to keep it closed, and the fabric has a subtle texture to it.
I think chambray looks great with brown leather, so for brunch with my family at Beuchert's Saloon in Capitol Hill I styled the dress with a vintage belt, a brown leather saddle bag, and brown sandals. Some beaded and silk wrap bracelets complete the look.

The fabric has a beautiful drape and with it's subtle sheen and texture, it can dress up nicely for an event like a bridal shower or daytime wedding. Switching to a clutch and gold accessories takes this dress up a notch.
This dress is also great for work. I work in a business casual office and come summer, my denim jacket makes a lot of appearances to survive the building's powerful A/C. Slip it off and I'm ready for happy hour!

Tee: Leith (similar) | Skirt: Ann Taylor | Shoes: Miss Sixty (similar) | Necklace: eBay (similar) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (similar) I got a TON of wear out of my Ann Taylor maxi skirt in the past year, but I regretted purchasing it in a Large Regular. It has grown with each wear so much…
This post is sponsored by Kohl’s and ShopStyle Holiday parties are a great time to whip out the glitz and glam, but if that’s not your style, that doesn’t mean you can’t look cocktail party-ready. Kohl’s reached out and asked to have me style some of their fashion and I decided to dress for a…
A big reason I have been MIA is because my job has become more demanding. But I am not complaining about that – I actually kind of like it. I am one who gets cabin fever pretty fast at a job – may be why I stayed in retail so long. No day in retail…

Every Mother’s Day we take my mom to see a Washington Nationals baseball game. She is a big Nats fan and loves going to the games. It’s fun for all and not as generic as brunch. This year we had hoped to take Emerson. I got her an adorable onesie that had the Nats logo…
I have wide feet and I am in a wedding this summer. The bride said we can wear any shoes we want as long as they’re metallic. My friend found a great pair at DSW but I can’t find any dressy metallic shoes in a 9 wide! Help! While I can wear regular width in…
LOVE THIS POST! I’d love to see more posts where you show multiple stylings. For me, and probably lots of other women, its not that easy to come up with new stylings. I wear the same dress the same way over and over. You have a knack for pairing things in unexpected ways which gives an outfit some excitement. I’m learning a lot from you. This dress looks great on you. My favorite look is the first, with the brown leather accessories. So chic! And what a gorgeous family!
I’m trying to incorporate more into my text with outfit posts ideas on how to style multiple ways. Actually taking the pictures is tough right now with a full-time job. This was cool because they paid for the opportunity and provided a photographer and different venues so I could block out a whole day to do this. But I’d love to do this more often. I think it’s important to have a wardrobe of versatile pieces that can be transformed with a quick change of accessories or toppers. I’ll try to have more of this in upcoming posts 🙂
I like the dress and how it fits with the exception of the top it seems a little big… and I have to say that picture of you 3 holding hands is priceless. You should have that framed !!!! Beautiful family.
What a pretty dress! At first I wondered how you were going to style this three different ways as I saw this dress as ultra casual, but I love the dressier and office looks. How I wish we had Gwynnie Bee in Canada!
You’re not the only one who has hoped for that. Never know what the future holds, just a few years ago Gwynnie Bee was a small company run out of the CEO’s living room! 🙂
What a beautiful family picture! You look just lovely.

Wow thanks so much Lynn!
The best family photo! Oh, and that dress looks smashing and so chic in all three photos, but my favorite was the last photo and those cute sandals.
Thank you! Those Aerosoles are in their third summer and they are SO comfortable. I have considered getting them in another color!
Love this dress!

Yes, when I get the high-res version I am totally having it framed and hung in the house! 🙂
